Molasses Puffs

A friend of mine loves Bissinger’s Molasses Puffs, so we decided to try and make them at home. After a couple attempts I decided to order some from Bissingers, since I was trying to create something I had never eaten myself! They arrived in good condition, kept cool in the summer heat by an ice pack. However, the texture seemed stale. I had my friend confirm this, since she is the “expert”, and she agreed, they were not at all the usual crunchy, melt in your mouth texture that she loves. Very disappointing (especially for the price), but we ate them anyway (ha ha!).

So hard to find fresh molasses puffs

Chocolate was delicious! The molasses was not as light and air-filled as previous purchases but it’s a very humidity-sensitive candy when being crafted- we’ll try again.
